This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (“the Act”) and sets out the steps taken by Ermoleve Limited (“Ermoleve”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in our business or supply chain.

1. Introduction

Ermoleve is committed to conducting business ethically and with respect for human rights. We recognise that modern slavery is a serious global issue encompassing slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour, and human trafficking. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and are committed to acting ethically, transparently, and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.

2. Our Business and Supply Chain

Ermoleve designs, sources, markets, and retails affordable luxury jewellery products primarily through our online platform at www.ermoleve.com.

We work with a variety of suppliers, manufacturers, and third-party service providers internationally. We recognise that the nature of the jewellery industry involves complex supply chains, and we are vigilant to the risks of modern slavery in these areas.

3. Our Policies on Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking

To prevent modern slavery within our operations and supply chains, Ermoleve has implemented the following:

  • A Modern Slavery Policy which outlines our commitment to ethical business practices and compliance with the Act. This policy is communicated to all employees, suppliers, and contractors.

  • A Code of Conduct requiring our suppliers and business partners to uphold fundamental human rights and ensure no modern slavery or human trafficking occurs in their operations.

  • Robust due diligence procedures when engaging new suppliers, including assessing their compliance with labour laws and ethical standards.

  • Regular risk assessments of our supply chain to identify and address potential modern slavery risks.

4. Due Diligence and Risk Management

We take the following steps to identify and mitigate risks of modern slavery in our supply chain:

  • Conducting supplier audits and requesting documentation relating to labour standards and working conditions.

  • Including contractual clauses that require suppliers to comply with all relevant labour and human rights laws.

  • Providing training and awareness sessions for employees involved in procurement and supplier management.

  • Encouraging transparency and whistleblowing through confidential reporting channels for employees and third parties to raise concerns about unethical practices without fear of retaliation.

5. Training and Awareness

All Ermoleve staff receive appropriate training on the risks of modern slavery and their responsibility to uphold ethical standards. We ensure that employees involved in supply chain management understand how to spot and address potential signs of modern slavery.

6. Performance Indicators

We monitor the effectiveness of our actions through:

  • Regular review of supplier compliance documentation.

  • Feedback and audits from suppliers and third-party assessments.

  • Tracking of any reports or concerns raised related to modern slavery and ensuring appropriate action is taken.

7. Future Commitments

Ermoleve is committed to continuous improvement in combating modern slavery. Going forward, we aim to:

  • Enhance supplier due diligence procedures.

  • Increase supplier engagement and training regarding modern slavery.

  • Collaborate with industry initiatives and other organisations to share best practices.
